Commemoration to the Best High School Day Celebration

The 121st High School Day event took place at Ilocos Sur National High School on March 25, 2023, with the theme "Renewed Commitment in Defying Odds to Transcend Heights of Excellence and Solidarity.". Because the pandemic prevented us from celebrating for two years, many teachers and students are now prepared for this eagerly anticipated occasion. High School Day is making a strong comeback, with the event being split into three main sections: the Thanksgiving Day mass, the main program, and the field demonstration.

This event brings back memories of our grade 7 practice sessions for high school day, during which we enjoyed each other's company while distracting ourselves from leg pain and the oppressive heat. Someone would yell "nag pudot" every second, and everyone else would laugh and complain as well. We all had to endure the pain together, so it was difficult but enjoyable. I recall making videos of our male classmates and laughing at them with the group. I also recall our sighs of relief whenever our teachers announced that a break was necessary. The COVID-19 outbreak caused the school to be abruptly suspended, so unfortunately, we were unable to experience an ordinary high school day.

Overall, I'm glad that this year we can make the most of our high school day. Several students, teachers, and our one and only principal, ma'am Editha Bagcal, attended the wonderful mass. Many students' performances were also astounding, really showing their talents. And a huge celebration for the establishment of the school 121 years ago! Knowing that our school has been operating for such a long time is incredible, and it truly deserves a wonderful celebration.

Longganisa Festival!

The Longganisa Festival is typically observed in Vigan City on January 22 of every year, just a few days before the Vigan City Fiesta on January 25. If I were to describe the beauty of the Festival Its beauty isn't just found in the glamorous performances of the contestants. Nor the efforts of the program directors to provide a good show for all. But I also think that the people assembling to watch this magnificent show adds to its beauty. to buy locally produced food and to support the contenders. It is encouraging to see people coming together to celebrate a festival that has been going on for a long time. Because of our collective fear of contracting the pandemic, none of us were able to fully enjoy the festival. But now that we can all go outside without having to be afraid, I have to admit that I can call this experience beautiful. REFERENCES: Angela Marie Aurellado, January 22, 2023. Araw ng mga Manggagawa

Many of us young people are unaware of the significance of Labor Day, what it stands for, or why it is pertinent to everyone's lives. Without understanding why it is a holiday in the first place, many people treat this day like any other regular holiday. Here are some details about the significance of May 1st and why it is celebrated. According to the Official Gazette of the Philippines, the first labor union in the nation protested against American imperialism and capitalism and demanded independence for the nation. The group marched to Malacanang, where the American leaders were lodged, from Plaza Mariones in Tondo, Manila, according to the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP). The protest is regarded as one of the first to occur on Manila's streets. Finally, the Philippine Assembly passed a law establishing May 1 as a national holiday in 1908. We ought to remember the sacrifices made for the people of this nation, as many Filipinos fought for their righ...
